Telepong

2001-2002

A start-up for the development of a mobile device for communication.

Project: WALKING CHAIR Design
Disciplines: Product design, graphics, font design
Client: TELEPONG AG, Switzerland

After Fidel Peugeot developed the LOMO fonts from 1997 to 1999, he was commissioned by Lomo founder MATTHIAS FIEGL to work with product designer KARL EMILIO PIRCHER to develop a new type of device for mobile communication.

TELEPONG was defined as a brand. The innovative device was implemented as a prototype with a colour screen with a resolution of 256x128px.

The project was discontinued after the economic crisis of 2001. In 2002, TELPONG became WALKING CHAIR DESIGN STUDIO.

The following font families were developed for the device: TELEPONG Copy Font, T Font & OnOff Font.
